Happy New Year from Musicals at Richter!

The Renaissance Continues in 2026.

As we ring in the New Year, we are filled with gratitude

for the community that keeps the magic alive under the stars.

Last year, we brightened the stage with our Phase 3 lighting truss—

this year, we prepare to "Let the Orchestra Be Heard."

May 2026 bring you health, happiness, and countless moments of inspiration.

Thank you for being the heartbeat of our theater.

The Renaissance Continues: Help Us Build the Orchestra Pavilion!

As 2026 begins, we reflect on another inspiring season under the stars and the incredible progress we’ve made thanks to your generosity. This year, we continued our "Renaissance of Richter" journey, bringing you higher-quality performances than ever before.

Phase III Success: The New Lighting Truss

You may remember last year’s successful campaign to fund Phase III: The New Lighting Truss. We are thrilled to report that this addition has dramatically elevated the technical quality and audience experience of every production. It proves that together, we can transform our beautiful outdoor space into a first-rate performance venue for the Greater Danbury area.

Introducing Phase IV: A New Home for the Music

Now, we are ready for the next, most ambitious step in our transformation: Phase IV, the New Orchestra Pavilion.

We are finalizing the design details and are excited to launch our new fundraising campaign, “Let the Orchestra Be Heard,” in January 2026. This dedicated pavilion is essential not only for our theater productions but also for future musical performances planned by the Richter Arts Association and other groups, dramatically increasing the variety and caliber of arts we can offer the Greater Danbury community.

Your Continued Partnership is Essential

While we celebrate these improvements, we must also be transparent: we are still diligently paying off the loan from the initial Phase I stage construction. To continue our journey toward creating a premier performance space, we need to raise funds specifically for the Phase IV Pavilion construction.

We have only gotten this far because of your belief in our vision and your loyal support. We hope you will continue this journey with us and help us bring this vital new structure to life.

Project: Phase IV: New Orchestra Pavilion

Goal: To build a dedicated space that supports professional-level orchestral and musical performances.

Impact: Further solidifies our vision of being a leading arts venue, enriching the cultural landscape of the Greater Danbury area.

Will you make a tax-deductible gift today to ensure the "Renaissance of Richter" can continue?

Every dollar raised this holiday season will go directly toward funding Phase IV and securing our future. Any amount—large or small—is graciously accepted and deeply appreciated.

Thank you for being the heart of our theater. We look forward to a successful 2026 with you by our side!

Unfortunately, the Christmas storm of 2020 caused massive damage to our stage.
The winds destroyed the masking walls for the stage wings and broke structural supports
on
both sides of the stage. The gusts also severely damaged the rear wall of the stage
that
provides the principal structural support for the covered backstage area. This
central
backstage space shelters the cast and crew during performances
(and inclement weather), provides prop and set piece storage, and serves
as the principal costume changing area during the show.
